RFID Mobile Applications with MiniME
The RFID MINI ME is a modular hardware component that plugs into the micro USB port on compatible Android devices.
This allows for the ability to build lightweight asset tracking and other mobile solutions without the acquisition of more expensive ruggedized RFID devices.
Pendragon Forms provides the ability to capture RFID tag information and integrate its use in custom forms and mobile solutions using the MINI ME device.
Download and install the RFID ME Snap for your Android device.
Plug in your MINI ME hardware into the micro USB port.
When prompted, allow the RFID ME Snap to access the USB device and check the box to Use by default for the USB device. (*Click Cancel if prmpted for MTI MINI ME app if it is installed).
Download the form at the bottom of this page. Import the form via the forms section in your PFM and then freeze and publish the form. Sync Pendragon Forms to load the form.
The script scan for an RFID tag using the MINI ME on a button click event:

In order to capture the selected tag, use a scan event and reference the scandata variable:

Open the RFID MINI ME Test form on the device and add a record.
Click the "scan" button. When your RFID tag is within proximity it should appear in the list of tags. Tap "Stop" at the bottom right of the screen to stop scanning. Then tap the arrow at the top of the screen to the left of the menu to push the tag id back to Pendragon Forms.
Tip: The RFID MINI ME device might have to be placed directly over an RFID tag to read the tag.
The tag id should be written to the target field per the script and a test message will appear at the bottom of the screen.
