Rugged Barcode Scanning Applications
Deployment of custom barcode scanning solutions is now easy with Pendragon Forms. Scan barcodes or QR Codes that will record data and trigger events for asset tracking, inventory, or any other custom workflow application.
Using the Forms interface designer, organizations can rapidly create bar code solutions and sync the data with a centralized source. Mobile device users can collect data offline after downloading forms to their devices.
From the RS30's home screen tap the following options:
- Settings
- About phone
- System update
- Verify code: 23058518 (contact CipherLab support if you encounter issues at tech@cipherlab.com)
(Repeat the update until you have the latest version)
Download the PendragonBarcodeSettings.json file from the bottom of this page.
Connect your CipherLab RS30 device to your machine and copy the PendragonBarcodeSettings.json file to your device.
On the CipherLab RS30 device, open the ReaderConfig app.
Click the menu at the top right and select "Import".
Select the PendragonBarcodeSettings.json file and click OK.
The settings should now be loaded. You can test the use of scan events in your form or, alternatively, import the ScanTest.pff form at the bottom of this page into the Forms List in Pendragon Forms and then freeze and publish the form. Sync Pendragon Forms on your Android device to load the form.

On the CipherLab RS30 device, open the ReaderConfig app.
Tap the menu at the top right and select "Reset to factory defaults".
Set the following settings:
Keyboard Emulation: KeyEvent
Prefix: ~ (Tilde symbol)
Suffix: LF (will display as [LF])
Tap menu icon in upper right corner to Save.
Clear Previous Data: (checked)
Click the back button on your device to save the settings.
The settings should now be loaded. You can test the use of scan events in your form or, alternatively, import the ScanTest.pff form at the bottom of this page into the Forms List in Pendragon Forms and then freeze and publish the form. Sync Pendragon Forms on your Android device to load the form.
Optionally, add a PFTimeAlarmLog which will automatically capture the time when a user responds to an alarm and the alarm schedule time of the notification to which they responded.
Optionally, import or create the Import the PFTimeAlarmLog.pff or see the PFTimeAlarmLog section below to create the form on your own.
Freeze and distribute the form.
